Where Opportunity Meets Preparedness
Connecting transformative U.S. innovations with Africa's highest-impact opportunities — through capital, technology, and strategic partnership.
Our Purpose
Vision
To be the leading U.S.–Africa innovation and investment bridge — connecting transformative U.S. innovations with Africa's high-impact opportunities, fostering equitable growth and shared prosperity. A world where transformative innovation crosses borders equitably.
Mission
To identify, localize, and co-develop high-impact U.S. innovations for African markets — empowering SMEs and agri-ventures through faith-informed stewardship, strategy, and scalable enterprise.
About the Company
Petra & Phronesis LLC is a Wyoming-registered innovation transfer and investment facilitation company purpose-built to connect the United States with Africa's most dynamic growth markets.
Founded by cross-border entrepreneurs with 60+ years of combined experience, we sit at the intersection of capital, technology, and impact — solving the stubborn problem of world-class U.S. innovations failing to reach and thrive in African markets.
We are not simply a business. We are a movement rooted in faith, purpose, and the conviction that Africa's transformation is both a commercial opportunity and a moral imperative.
The name Petra — meaning rock, foundation, solid ground — reflects our commitment to building enterprises that endure. Phronesis — the ancient Greek virtue of practical wisdom — reflects how we navigate: not with reckless speed, but with discernment, strategy, and a long view. Together, they define what we bring to every engagement: strength grounded in wisdom.
"Africa is the new future. Tomorrow, even today's Fortune 500 companies will need to have a share of the good numbers from African businesses. It's time to stop being speculative. Let's work the opportunities of Africa and take the credit with the benefits of doing so equitably."
— Gabriel Onifade, COO & Co-Founder
The Problem We Solve
Three structural failures keep world-class innovation from reaching the continent's 1.3 billion people — and create the exact space where Petra & Phronesis operates.
Over 44 million African SMEs lack the capital, technology, and systems needed to compete and scale in the modern economy.
A $300 billion SME and agri-financing gap persists across Africa — the world's largest unmet business finance need, growing every year.
U.S. innovations routinely miss the African market due to poor localisation — losing both commercial opportunity and social impact potential.
